Is it fair to bring players back in a situation that the fans are not allowed to join?

Good evening all. This is your Talking Chop open thread for Friday. You are free to discuss (just about) anything in any thread. But I will ask a question of the day. Is it fair to bring players back in a situation that the fans are not allowed to join?

Blake Snell of the Rays voiced some concern about being asked not only to accept less money, but to work in a health-compromised environment. Bryce Harper agreed and he and Snell were the news of baseball. I can understand where the players are. I also get that having no fans creates a revenue concern. There’s also the issue that baseball is, at best, fourth on the pecking order behind the NFL, college football, and the NBA. If there is no season and others continue, baseball will be forgotten pretty quickly.

It’s easy for me to work as I just stay home. Not so easy for many others, including baseball players. Can baseball work through this?
