The Braves have placed reliever Jacob Webb on the 10-day injured list and recalled Huascar Ynoa from Triple-A Gwinnett. Webb was placed on the IL retroactive to July 13.

Ynoa, 21, made his big league debut earlier this season but made just one appearance before being sent back to Gwinnett. While still raw as a prospect, Ynoa flashed his impressive fastball-slider pairing in the afore mentioned cup of coffee with the Braves.

Webb has pitched well for the Braves across 36 appearances this year, sporting a 1.39 ERA (and 4.29 FIP) over 32 1/3 innings. He recorded an out on Saturday night in San Diego, which was his lone appearance since the All Star Break.

The loss of Webb certainly hurts, although this may just be the Braves utilizing their reliever depth to help give the 25-year-old righty an extended breather during his first full season in the big leagues.

The Braves open a three-game series with the Brewers on Monday night.
