Late inning magic not enough as Braves fall to Rockies, 3-1

Julio Teheran was good, the Braves offense was bad, and good luck favored the Rockies in the end. It took until the eighth inning for Colorado to push across the first run of the game, then Atlanta countered with the tying run in the top of the ninth. The Rockies would walk off in the tenth with a two-run homer by Ryan McMahon.

Braves activate Swanson from IL, option Duvall

The Braves finally have their shortstop back, as Swanson returned to the starting lineup in Denver on Monday. The club optioned Adam Duvall to Triple-A Gwinnett to clear a roster spot for Swanson.
