UPDATE: Good news. X-rays on Fried hand were negative. He is considered day-to-day.
—
Max Fried left Tuesday night’s game against the Dodgers in the second inning after being hit in the hand by a line drive off the bat of Alex Verdugo.
Fried tried to throw a couple of warm up pitches after being checked out by the Braves’ training staff, but he was immediately pulled from the game.
The Braves are yet to announce any further details.
Fried and the Braves trailed 3-0 at the time of the injury. Justin Turner hit a solo homer to get the scoring going, and then Dansby Swanson misplayed a ball he should’ve had to allow two more runs to score.
Josh Tomlin came into the game in relief of Max Fried.
We will update this post whenever the Braves announce more.
