The Atlanta Braves have lost five of their past six games, and to put it frankly, the bullpen is an grease fire. On the bright side, the Braves have the opportunity invest in their future with the MLB Draft this week, but if you are in the mood to avoid all things Atlanta, we are here to bring you an outlet to do that.
SB Nation and FanDuel continue to partner on daily fantasy baseball, and we regularly bring you "recommended" lineups. Tuesday's slate is jam-packed with games, and as the collective baseball world is split in terms of attention, you can take advantage with a bit of study.
Editor's Note: SB Nation's partner FanDuel is hosting a $100,000 one-day fantasy baseball league today. It's $3 to join and first place wins $8,000. Enter now!
As usual, fading my picks may be your best option, so if you do that, I won't be offended in the slightest.
Note: This lineup would be used in a 7:05 pm ET contest.
P - Corey Kluber ($11,100)
C - Yadier Molina ($2,900)
1B - Ryan Howard ($3,000)
2B - Chase Utley ($2,600)
3B - Mike Moustakas ($2,400)
SS - Jhonny Peralta ($4,200)
OF - Josh Reddick ($3,200)
OF - Mark Canha ($2,800)
OF - Randal Grichuk ($2,800)
First things first, I'm taking Corey Kluber. Cleveland's ace right-hander isn't the most expensive pitcher on Tuesday (hello, Max Scherzer), but I like his match-up at home against Seattle, and Kluber's strikeout upside is virtually unmatched.
On offense, I'm loving the Cardinals in Coors Field. Molina, Peralta and Grichuk have platoon advantages against Jorge De La Rosa, and the venue speaks for itself. I'm also mini-stacking left-handed Phillies (Utley, Howard), as well as anyone from the Oakland A's (Reddick, Canha) at the right price. Perhaps my favorite "buy" of the night, though, is Mike Moustakas, who has a hit in four straight games (six out of seven), and a favorable match-up against Twins right-hander Trevor May.
The slogan, as always, is to simply make money, and this lineup can (hopefully) help you get there. Let's do this together.
