With the Braves almost a lock to clinch a 3rd consecutive playoff birth, I think it's the right time to talk about the best/worst first round matchups for Atlanta. As we all know, we have not advanced past the NLDS since 2001, have not been to a WS since 1999, and have not bought home the hardware since 1995. Right now, the Braves are sitting comfortably in the Number 2 seed in the NL playoff picture. They can easily drop to 3 or 4 with the Padres and the Cubs not too far behind. Anyways, lets talk playoff matchups
Best matchups:
1. Marlins: I'm assuming that Snit would have Fried and Anderson start games 1 and 2. Plus, as bad as the Braves rotation is, the Marlins' rotation might be worse and I believe that quality starts from Max and Ian and the offense staying hot will result in a easy 2 game sweep
2. Giants
Worst Matchups
1. Cardinals: look at the history and I think it's pretty self-explanatory
2. Phillies: They have an offense as good as ours and have two good starters. Plus, they split the season series with us so a 2 game series is basically a tossup
Well those are my thoughts. What are yalls?
