2. CF Ketel Marte (S)
3. 3B Eduardo Escobar (S)
4. LF David Peralta (L)
5. 1B Christian Walker (R)
6. 2B Wilmer Flores (R)

The Braves seem to be prioritizing defense going with Inciarte over Markakis. It makes sense for a few reasons. The Diamondbacks put the ball in play a lot, and are very good against left-handers. Max Fried has consistently thrown strikes so far this year and has trusted his defense to generate success. Furthermore, while the sample size is limited, Inciarte has had more success against Ray than Markakis.
The Diamondbacks lineup is a bit misleading. Yes, there is not a singular name in the lineup that strikes fear in your heart instantly. However, it is a deep lineup. It does not get any easier even after you get past Peralta. Walker, Flores, and Ahmed each have career OPS marks above .770 against LHP in their careers. Fried must harness his control, as any free passes could quickly prove costly with one swing of the bat.
