Pitching rules the day as Braves shut out Cardinals
Kyle Wright got the start for Atlanta on Wednesday, pitching two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. The Braves also got two scoreless innings from Kolby Allard, in addition to one inning from notable prospects Tucker Davidson, Kyle Muller, and Joey Wentz. The Cardinals combined for just four hits on the day, with the young Atlanta staff combining for nine strikeouts. Offensively the Braves put up four runs with a mixture of walks and errors aiding in the effort.
Versatility makes Camargo invaluable
After a season that saw him post a .272/.349/.457 slash line in 134 games, and 3.3 fWAR, Johan Camargo is no longer the starting third baseman for the Braves in 2019. With the addition of Josh Donaldson this offseason, Camargo will be relegated to a utility role barring injury to himself or another infielder, which could give the 25-year-old an opportunity to showcase his unique skillset as a versatile, capable defender at a number of positions. Thus far in his young career, Camargo has shown himself to be a solid defender in the infield, but with a loaded roster of infielders, it appears Camargo may also take reps in the outfield in the near future. This is certainly a monumental change for a player that was so productive a year ago, but the Panama native is taking it in stride, as Braves beat writer Mark Bowman writes:
“To be honest with you, my favorite position is to be in the lineup, wherever they put me,” Camargo said. “I just want to play.”
Pitcher Moylan retires after 12 MLB seasons
One of the most beloved Braves of the 21st century announced his retirement on Wednesday, as veteran reliever Peter Moylan will not play into his age-40 season. Moylan was originally signed by the Braves after the club saw his work with Team Australia in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. This would lead to a 12-year Major League career, mostly compiled with Atlanta, during which he compiled a 24-10 record, a 3.10 ERA, and a 136 ERA+. Congratulations on an incredible career.

Source: Giants, Harper have second meeting
Bryce Harper going to the Giants seems like the best-case scenario for the Braves at this point, and multiple meetings would seem to indicate significant interest on both sides. Sorry Philly, we really hate to see it.
