What are the Braves going to do at 3B next year?
Phillips has done everything the Braves asked of him for 2017. He filled the spot at 2B for Albies to get ready, and at the same time played as mentor for Swanson. Obviously Swanson had his struggles early on, but showed great maturity threw out his struggles and is now playing extremely well.
Now with Camargo out, and Freeman back at first, Phillips has been playing stellar ball at 3B. Not only is he playing great in the field, he is also swinging the bat well. That brings up the question, will the Braves keep Phillips for 2018? I mean this year he has played well enough to make you think he has a few years left in the league. At the same time though, his trade value certainly went up with him showing he can play 3B effectively.
What are your thoughts on this? Do the Braves keep Phillips?
