It would be fair to make a case that Sanchez, Demeritte, and Peterson may be too raw to stick on a 25-man roster for an entire year. However, the Braves have plenty of fringe relievers and bench players to jettison off the 40-man roster. They should make room to protect all four top 30 prospects.

Eligibility charts are great and all, but wouldn’t it be cool to compare the eligible players to each other?

So, I pulled all the players that recorded an inning pitched or plate appearance. I then ran it against my rule 5 database. Then sorted out all the players that are protected or not eligible. Next, weeded out players eligible for minor league free agency at the end of the year. I then created a custom lists on Fangraphs for rule 5 draft eligible players.
