The Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that they will resume their suspended game with the San Diego Padres on Friday, September 24 at 8:10 p.m. ET. The game will precede the originally scheduled game which is scheduled to begin at 10:10 p.m. ET.
The Braves and Padres waited out a long rain delay before the game was ultimately suspended in large part that it was the only trip San Diego will make to Atlanta this season. Instead of having the Padres fly back across the country on a mutual off day, the Braves will instead finish the game on the road.

The game in question began on Wednesday, July 21 as the second game of a doubleheader at Truist Park. The Braves fell behind 5-0 in that game but were trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth when the game was halted due to rain. Atlanta will be the home team for the resumption of the suspended game which will remain a seven-inning contest.
