Road to Atlanta is our weekly podcast where we discuss all things minor leagues and prospects for our beloved Atlanta Braves. We have relaunched the podcast and it can be found in the same stream with the Talking Chop podcast, so if you subscribe to have easy access to R2A as well. Episodes will go live (most of the time) every Monday evening and will cover a wide range of topics including top performances from the previous week, deep dives into specific prospects or topics, and lots of sweet guests.

Today we saw the Atlanta Braves use their first round selection, the 24th overall pick, on Wake Forest right handed pitcher Ryan Cusick, taking their second Wake Forest pitcher in the first round in the last two years. Cusick is a little different than last year’s pick in Jared Shuster in that he is right handed and has hit 101-102 MPH. Matt and Eric break down their thoughts on how day one of the draft went and what they think the Cusick pick means for day two.
