Normally, I’d take this open thread body that no one ever reads to talk about what’s going on around baseball, interesting matchups this evening, and so on.
But really, I’ll just point you to the ridiculous way the Marlins-Mets contest ended earlier this afternoon. I don’t think MLB has a lot to be concerned about with respect to competitive integrity (i.e., rigged games). But every time something like this happens, it’s another blemish on MLB’s ostensible attempt to actually have games decided by player talent. Be better, umpires. Be better, MLB.
