One of the biggest questions surrounding the Braves this spring was whether or not Mike Soroka would be able to pitch in a game before the club headed north for the regular season.
On the final day of the spring training calendar, Soroka is scheduled to thrown an inning or two in Tuesday’s tune-up against the Boston Red Sox.

Soroka has pitched in numerous simulated games this spring, but the club has been rightfully cautious and deliberate with his recovery. Soroka tore his Achilles on August 3 and had surgery a week later, so we are approaching 8 months of recovery as April nears.
Assuming all goes well, the hope is Soroka will be able to join the Braves’ rotation by the end of April. Given the numerous off days early in the season Atlanta should be able to withstand Soroka’s absence with Huascar Ynoa and Bryse Wilson.
The Braves and Soroka will wrap up spring training at 1:05 p.m. ET on Tuesday against Boston.
