Freddie Freeman headlines list of 14 player who received qualifying offers

Freddie Freeman was one of 14 players that received qualifying offers before Sunday’s deadline. Each player will have until November 17 to decide whether to accept the one-year, $18.4 million offer or decline it and head into free agency with draft pick compensation attached.

Here is a look at the 14 players who received qualifying offers:

Nick Castellanos - Reds
Trevor Story - Rockies
Carlos Correa - Astros
Justin Verlander - Astros
Raisel Iglesias - Angels
Corey Seager - Dodgers
Chris Taylor - Dodgers
Michael Conforto - Mets
Noah Syndergaard - Mets
Brandon Belt - Giants
Robbie Ray - Blue Jays
Marcus Semien - Blue Jays

Some notable free agents that did not receive qualifying offers include Clayton Kershaw, Steven Matz, Anthony DeSclafani, Carlos Rodon and Jon Gray.

As of 5 p.m. ET Sunday, the free agency period has opened and players are free to sign with any club.
