The Daily Chop: WS Parade, Freeman reaction, Snitker appreciation, and more

The Braves will have a championship parade on Friday. Line the streets, folks, this team has earned it.

MLB: World Series-Atlanta Braves at Houston Astros Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Braves finally delivered. Years of agony, watching talented rosters falter in October, were rendered insignificant as quickly as Freddie Freeman secured the final out of the 2021 World Series. It was cathartic to see Atlanta convincingly body slam the narrative that the city was incapable of winning a championship. The Braves fielded so many great teams in the interim between championships, only to see them falter in October, and yet somehow this tumultuous season culminates in a World Series victory.

With the improbable nature of this championship, two things are guaranteed:

  1. Hope will extend well into the second half before anyone gives up on the Braves for the foreseeable future.
  2. I will be purchasing the Braves 2021 World Series DVD Box Set. I want to see and hear everything that led to Atlanta hoisting the trophy. What an incredible team.
