A little roster news for the Atlanta Braves ahead of Tuesday’s Game 6. Major League Baseball has announced that Braves utility player Ehire Adrianza has been placed on the paternity list and replaced on the active roster by infielder Johan Camargo. Adrianza would be eligible to return as soon as Wednesday for a potential Game 7.
INF Johan Camargo has replaced INF/OF Ehire Adrianza on the @Braves active #WorldSeries roster, it was announced today by @MLB. Adrianza, on the Postseason Paternity List, will be allowed to be away from the Club for a minimum of 1 day & a maximum of 3 days. pic.twitter.com/CDAdqkdrZS— MLB Communications (@MLB_PR) November 2, 2021
Adrianza has been a key piece of Atlanta’s bench but with the DH in place for the final two games of the series, the impact will be lessoned. Adrianza is 0-for-2 in the World Series and 1-for-10 during the postseason.
Camargo is still looking for his first hit at the Major League level in 2021. He was 0-for-16 with a pair of walks during the regular season and is 0-for-4 so far this postseason. Camargo did put up big numbers at Gwinnett where he hit .326/.401/.557 with 19 home runs in 104 games this season.
