The Atlanta Braves held a workout Thursday at Truist Park in preparation for the NLCS which will get underway Saturday. The Braves haven’t yet announced their pitching plans for the series beyond Max Fried in Game 1. Charlie Morton would be on four days rest and is an option for Game 2 but the team is considering giving him an extra day after going on short rest in Game 4 of the NLDS, per MLB.com’s Mark Bowman.

If Morton is pushed back until Game 3, then Ian Anderson would get the start in the second game of the series. The Braves will also have a decision to make on a starter for Game 4.

No updates so far on Jorge Soler who tested positive for COVID-19 just before the start of Game 4 of the NLDS. The Athletic’s David O’Brien reports that Soler is expected to miss at least 10 days.

Soler could be reinstated mid-series and would be allowed to return.
