The Chicago Cubs announced on Thursday that left-hander Jose Quintana underwent a surgical procedure to repair a lacerated digital sensory nerve in his left thumb. Quintana injured he thumb while washing dishes at his home last Saturday. He is expected to resume a throwing program in about two weeks.
The New York Mets announced Thursday that hitting coach Chili Davis will remain in Arizona indefinitely due to concerns over the recent spike of coronavirus.
