These are two very good baseball teams.

The 2020 baseball season might be on borrowed time, so it’s best to enjoy it while you can. With that being said, you could do a lot worse than a matchup between the Braves and the Rays.

Tonight’s showdown features two right handed pitchers with similar stories, albeit different trajectories. Former All-Star Mike Foltynewicz will toe the hill for the Braves, while Tyler Glasnow will pitch for the Rays. Folty has struggled to string together consecutive successful seasons, while Glasnow didn’t finally turn the corner until he put on a Rays uniform. Even for both of these promising young hurlers, without longer track records it’s anybody’s guess which direction either of their seasons go.

As we enter the fourth game of the season, it will be intriguing to track the progress of both teams’ offenses. The Braves were kept largely in check for the first 17 ⅔ innings of the season, but exploded for 18 runs between the ninth inning Saturday and the end of Sunday’s game. It appeared several necessary cogs in the Braves’ lineup - Ozzie Albies among them - were starting to get their timing by the close of the weekend. Meanwhile, the Rays scored 14 runs against the Blue Jays over the weekend, but only managed 18 hits.

While you still have the option, make sure you stick around with us in the comments section tonight. If you don’t, you will experience crippling guilt, and a roving warlock might cast a spell on your homestead.

OK, maybe just the guilt.
