The Braves get their first win of the 2020 season as the offense woke up late.

That’s a win, folks.

The Braves offense had looked pretty anemic through most of the first two games of the season, but a game-tying homer from Marcell Ozuna forced extra innings and clutch hits from Dansby Swanson and William Contreras gave the Braves a 5-3 win over the Mets.

There are some minor areas of concern including the slow starts so far of Acuna, Albies, and Freeman, but the Braves’ pitching through the first two games has been quite good and the end of the second game saw contributions from several players in the lineup, so here is hoping that this rally is a sign of things to come.

Also, big congratulations are in order for William Contreras. His RBI double in extra innings secured the Braves win and it also happened to be his first hit as a big leaguer....and on the first pitch he saw as well.
