Braves received some tough but also relieving news this afternoon as super-prospect Cristian Pache has officially been diagnosed with an grade-2 ankle sprain following his injury yesterday. In case you missed it Pache attempted a stolen base when he slid into the base late and injured his ankle.

To take his space in tonight’s scrimmage Braden Shewmake has been brought in from Gwinnett.

We can all take a collective sigh of relief because it appears that Pache has avoided a big injury and with the signing of Puig the Braves already crowded outfield allows Pache to take all the time in the world he needs to recover.
