The 2020 MLB Draft will take place on June 10 and 11, but will look much different than the normal product. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event will take place virtually and will be shortened from 40 rounds to just five total.

Fans will have options for watching the draft unfold as for the first time ever both the MLB Network and ESPN will provide live coverage which gets underway at 7 p.m. ET. The first night of coverage will include the first 37 picks, covering the first round and Competitive Balance Round A. MLB Network will air a preview show prior to Day 1 coverage beginning at 5 p.m. ET. The Draft will also stream live on MLB.com.

The Detroit Tigers hold the No. 1 pick in the 2020 Draft while the Atlanta Braves hold the 25th pick of the first round.

We will be tracking every pick here at Talking Chop and will have analysis following the Braves’ selection so make plans to spend the evening with us.
