Sources told Talking Chop on Thursday that the Atlanta Braves were among the teams that were trimming their minor league rosters. Now we have some details via Baseball America’s JJ Cooper.
Cooper reports that the Braves have released 30 players in the past week. These were the first cuts Atlanta had made since March. They released 24 players during the same timeframe in 2019 and cut loose 31 back in 2018.

As expected, there isn’t a lot of big names in the group. Davidson was the No. 32 pick of the 2014 Draft but never got above High-A. He hit a walk-off home run for Peoria in the championship game of the Arizona Fall League in 2018 but suffered a broken foot while rounding the bases. He missed all of 2019 due to the injury.
We wish these guys the best and hope some of them get another opportunity somewhere.
