The “Braves Classics” series will continue Friday night with to the 2012 season when Hall of Fame third baseman Chipper Jones homered in his season debut.
Jones, who had previously announced that the 2012 season would be his last, had undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. He returned to action without playing in any Minor League rehab games and homered in the third inning in front of both of his parents who had made the trip over to Houston.
This one will give me goosebumps. Season opener in 2012, mom and dad in the stands. Really special start of the season to an even more special ending. https://t.co/X0CurqHrAF
