The injury bug has bitten Atlanta early on in Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers. Adam Duvall came to the plate in the second inning and had to leave the game after he injured himself on a swing on the third pitch of his at-bat.

Rookie outfielder Cristian Pache replaced Duvall in the lineup and worked a one-out walk off of Walker Buehler.
Brian Snitker was interviewed on the broadcast during the third inning and confirmed that it was an oblique injury for Duvall and added “I think he did it pretty good too.” Depending on the severity of the injury, the Braves can replace Duvall on the NLCS roster but he will become ineligible should they advance to the World Series. The team later confirmed the injury saying it was a left oblique injury.
