As expected, the Atlanta Braves placed outfielder Ender Inciarte on the 10-day injured list with a strained hamstring and have recalled outfielder Adam Duvall. Inciarte was injured while scoring from second on a run-scoring hit by Matt Joyce in Friday’s loss to the Dodgers.
The #Braves today recalled OF Adam Duvall from Triple-A Gwinnett and placed OF Ender Inciarte on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Brian Snitker told reporters following the game that Inciarte would undergo further testing on Saturday to determine the severity of the injury. He did add that the situation didn’t look good.
Inciarte hits the injured list for the second time this season as he missed a significant portion of the first half due to a back injury.
Duvall returns to the active roster just one day after he was optioned to Gwinnett. Major League rules dictate that a player must spend at least 10 days in the minors after being optioned unless replacing an injured player. Duvall got off to a hot start after he was initially called up hitting .400/.421/.886 with five home runs over his first nine games. However, he has gone just 3-for-33 with no homers over his last 10 games.
UPDATE - The Braves expect Inciarte to be out 4-6 weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.
