Teheran vs. Lester could be a pitcher’s duel or a 14-10 slugfest

MLB: New York Mets at Atlanta Braves Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Braves and Cubs have been two of the National League’s best teams thus far in 2019, and tonight they will meet up for a four-game series. By the time this series is over, both teams should have a better idea of how they stack up against some of the league’s best competition.

The Braves have won five consecutive series, and are surely convinced they can keep the ball rolling. The Cubs are 4-6 in their last 10, and hanging on to the NL Central lead by a thread.

Can Ozzie Albies keep up his perfect streak against Jon Lester? Can Julio Teheran continue to pitch like a wizard against the Cubs? Will Josh Donaldson torment the team that drafted (and traded) him? You’ll have to tune in to find out.

Or, you could just hang out with us here in the comments. Bestow upon us all your wisdom of how you’d manage the game better than Snit or Maddon, or how you wouldn’t have swung at that 1-2 slider in the dirt, or about how you would never allow a ball to get caught in the Wrigley Field ivy.

If you’re reading this statement, it means you read to the end of the post, so thank you! It might also mean you enjoy reading in general, and you should read these two prep pieces about today’s game.
