The Atlanta Braves have surged to seven straight wins and to a 1.5 game lead in the NL East division over the Philadelphia Phillies. This week’s FanPulse results reflect that trend as confidence in the performance of manager Brian Snitker and the direction of the team as a whole remain strong.
Snitker’s approval rating remains at 84 percent for the second straight week and that has become a trend in itself. He was at 80 percent in Week 8 and has remained above 80 percent in the four weeks since. The low point of the season for Snitker came in Week 2 when he plummeted to 62 percent following a three-game sweep to the Phillies on the opening weekend of the season. The Braves will square off against the Phillies again this weekend so it will be interesting to see how this weekend’s series effects next week’s voting.
Like Snitker, fan confidence in the Braves remained strong. They held steady at 90 percent of the vote for the second straight week. They have now been at or above 84 percent for four straight weeks.
This week’s national question was a good one as it asked whether or not you approve of the job Rob Manfred is doing as MLB Commissioner. I was kind of expecting this to be split and it nearly was with only 48 percent of voters approving of Manfred.
