Luke Jackson blows 9th inning lead as Braves fall to Giants, 4-3
The Atlanta Braves carried a 3-1 lead into the ninth inning of Tuesday’s game in San Francisco but the Giants struck for three runs against reliever Luke Jackson to pull out a 4-3 win. Julio Teheran continued his solid stretch allowing one run and lowering his May ERA to 0.86.
Ender Inciarte hasn’t resumed baseball activities
Brian Snitker provided an update on injured outfielder Ender Inciarte on Tuesday. Inciarte is currently rehabbing what was called a lumbar strain back in Atlanta. He has yet to resume baseball activities and the team has no plans to rush him back to action.

Draft Prospect Carter Stewart To Sign With Japanese Team
Draft prospect Carter Stewart is making a bold choice and will sign a six-year contract with Japan’s Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that the deal is worth more than $7 million and will allow him to return to the United States as a 25-year old free agent. The Braves drafted Stewart with the No. 8 pick in the 2018 Draft but failed to sign him after a physical revealed a ligament issue in his wrist.
Andrelton Simmons Diagnosed With Grade 3 Ankle Sprain
Former Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons is expected to miss somewhere between eight to 12 weeks due to a Grade 3 ankle sprain.
Astros send RHP McHugh (elbow) to 10-day IL
Collin McHugh was recently demoted to the Astros’ bullpen but will now head to the injured list due to elbow discomfort. McHugh has a 6.04 ERA in 10 appearances this season.
