As expected, the Atlanta Braves have selected the contract of Austin Riley and he will make his Major League debut in Wednesday night’s game against the St Louis Cardinals. Rumors swirled last night that the Braves had brought Riley to Atlanta with the intention of adding him to the active roster. The move is now official.

To make room for Riley on the active roster, the Braves placed Ender Inciarte on the 10-day injured list due to a lumbar strain in his lower back. Inciarte left last night’s game early after running the bases.
Atlanta also recalled right-hander Touki Toussaint from Gwinnett and designated reliever Jesse Biddle for assignment. Biddle was recalled yesterday but struggled allowing three runs in just a third of an inning in Tuesday’s loss to the Cardinals.
