Atlanta’s offense came through again while Luke Jackson came in during a bit spot in the ninth to help the Braves secure an 8-7 win over the Colorado Rockies. Ozzie Albies homered twice and Freddie Freeman added a two-run bomb in the first inning but it was Josh Donaldson’s three-run shot in the eighth that proved to be the difference.
The Braves avoid a sweep and will continue their homestand on Monday when they open a four-game set against the San Diego Padres.
