Braves bats go to eleven as Fried hushes Tribe in 11-5 win
Josh Donaldson homered twice while Max Fried turned in another solid performance on the mound as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Cleveland Indians 11-5. Atlanta takes the series and improves to 11-10 on the season. The Braves will enjoy an off day on Monday before opening a three-game set in Cincinnati on Tuesday.
Braves bullpen shows reason for optimism
The Braves’ bullpen has been much maligned so far this season but they showed some resiliency on Saturday holding the Indians at bay for 7 2/3 innings to allow Atlanta to come from behind in an 8-7 win.

If they cut him loose, the Mets may have interest in adding him to their rotation.
Matt Shoemaker Has Torn ACL, Will Miss Remainder Of Season
Blue Jays pitcher Matt Shoemaker exited Saturday’s game early with an apparent knee injury. Toronto learned on Sunday that Shoemaker would be lost for the rest of the 2019 season after an MRI revealed a torn ACL.
