The Atlanta Braves will try to shake off a three-game losing streak when they open a three-game series with the Cleveland Indians in a doubleheader on Saturday. Atlanta is 9-9 on the season and 1.5 games back of Philadelphia and New York in the NL East standings.
Julio Teheran will be on the mound for the Braves in Game 1 and is coming off a good outing against the Mets in which he allowed just one run over six innings last Sunday. This will be Atlanta’s first interleague matchup of the season and Brian Snitker will go with a pretty normal looking lineup. Nick Markakis will be the DH in Game 1 with Matt Joyce getting the start in right field. Ender Inciarte drops to ninth in the order.
This will be Corey Kluber’s second career start against the Braves. A matchup to watch will be between him and Josh Donaldson who is 9-for-25 with a pair of homers in his career against Kluber.

Cleveland comes into the game leading the AL Central with an 11-7 record and are coming off of a sweep of the Seattle Mariners. The Indians activated shortstop Francisco Lindor from the injured list prior to Saturday’s game but he is not in the lineup for Game 1.
