2019 MiLB Rule Changes Unveiled
Minor League Baseball unveiled several rule changes for the Triple-A and Double-A levels for 2019. The rule changes include a three better minimum for pitchers, a revision of the tie breaker rule that places a runner at second at the start of an inning when a game goes to extra innings and reduction in mound visits by classification level.

Union scolds MLB for awarding arbitration ‘belt’
The MLBPA and director Tony Clark spoke out strongly against Major League Baseball for making a game out of the arbitration process and awarding a championship belt to teams who were deemed as having done the best job to keep player salaries low.
“That clubs make sport of trying to suppress salaries in a process designed to produce fair settlements shows a blatant lack of respect for our Players, the game, and the arbitration process itself,” Clark said in a statement issued Friday.

Brewers reliever Corey Knebel will miss the entire 2019 season after electing to undergo Tommy John surgery on his injured elbow. While Knebel’s elbow situation wasn’t a clear cut diagnosis, he elected to have the surgery rather than undertake a rehab process that was uncertain to fix the problem and could have delayed his return.
Indians Sign Cameron Maybin To Minor League Deal
