Braves score walk off win over Blue Jays 4-3

The Braves scored a walk-off win on Friday as Sean Kazmar scored on a wild pitch by Toronto’s Hector Perez to secure a 4-3 win. It wasn’t all good news for the home team as A.J. Minter left the game after facing just one batter due to stiffness in his pitching shoulder.

Swanson late scratch for Braves; Donaldson still on shelf, too

Dansby Swanson and Josh Donaldson were both scheduled to make their spring debuts on Friday but neither were in the Braves’ lineup against Toronto. Donaldson has been full go since arriving at camp but was held back on Friday by the team’s medical staff as they look to pace him through the early part of spring.

Folty, Gausman hoping injuries won’t linger

The injuries have seemed to pile up on the Braves this week but Mike Foltynewicz and Kevin Gausman are hoping to be back sooner rather than later. Foltynewicz spoke with reporters Friday morning and didn’t sound concerned about the soreness in his throwing elbow. Gausman has been dealing with pain in his shoulder but is hoping to make his spring debut sometime next week.
