The Atlanta Braves will try to make it two straight wins Tuesday night when they continue their series against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Atlanta took the series opener on Monday 1-0 as Bryse Wilson, in his major league debut, and five relievers combined for the shutout.

Atlanta enters play on Tuesday with a one game lead over the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East standings. Philadelphia will open a three-game set in Washington against the Nationals on Tuesday.

Wilson’s surprise arrival pushed back Monday’s originally scheduled starter Kevin Gausman until Tuesday. He will be making his fourth start in an Atlanta uniform and will be looking to continue a solid stretch since his arrival. Gausman allowed four hits and two runs over six innings in his last start against the Marlins. Since joining the Braves, he has allowed a total of six runs in 19 innings while striking out 12 and walking four.

Pittsburgh will counter with right-hander Ivan Nova who will be making his 24th start of the season and is coming off of a good outing last time out. Nova allowed seven hits but just one run over 6 2/3 innings in his last start against the Cubs. He has allowed 18 hits and seven runs in 16.2 innings through three starts in August.
