Padres trade Clayton Richard to Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays acquired left-hander Clayton Richard from the San Diego Padres on Sunday in exchange for minor league outfielder Connor Panas. The Padres had designated Richard for assignment back on December 20. Richard posted a 5.33 ERA (4.68 FIP) in 158 2/3 innings this season.
Diamondbacks Acquire Robby Scott
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired left-hander Robby Scott from the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday in exchange for cash considerations. Scott had been designated for assignment by the Reds on December 21 just 11 days after they claimed him from Boston.
