Source: Atlanta out on trading for Realmuto
It seems that the theme of this offseason has been to have a trade rumor pop up but then have it refuted a few hours later. On Saturday the Braves were again linked to Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto and were called a “slight favorite” to land him by SiriusXM’s Craig Mish. However, MLB.com’s Mark Bowman later reported that Atlanta has not discussed Realmuto since this past Tuesday and have no further plans to speak again due to the Marlins insistence of including one high-value MLB-experienced asset in the deal such as Ozzie Albies.
As we all know, the book never really closes on anything and the two teams could eventually circle back but for now it doesn’t appear likely that Realmuto will end up in an Atlanta uniform.

White Sox Acquire Yonder Alonso
The White Sox picked up Indians first baseman Yonder Alonso on Saturday in a trade also involving outfielder Alex Call. Alonso was made expendable after Cleveland acquired Carlos Santana and Jake Bauers in a 3-team trade earlier this week.
