The model for this years team to be successful and for many teams in the WS is decent starting pitching, decent hitting, good defense, and a shutdown bullpen. Im tired of leading a game 3-1 after 7, and seeing us give up 1 run in the 8th, 1 run in the 9th, and lose in extra innings. If we are leading after 6, we should win the game. I think the trade I regret the most and the player we miss the most is Kimbrel. We just can't seem to replace him. In retrospect, we should have DFA Melvin Upton, eaten his salary, and kept Kimbrel.

We better start taking some of our pitching assets in the minor leagues and develop some shutdown relievers. I don't care if it devalues our prospect rankings. You just can't win without a shutdown bullpen, and we don't have it.
