The rumors are true, Ronald Acuña has been promoted to AA Mississippi.

The righty hit .287/.336/.478 over the course of 28 games for Florida, including a recent hot stretch where he’s hit .333/.380/.556 over his last 19 games. While he’s striking out at a high rate, and the walk rate is down, he’s squaring up the ball on another level right now, indicated by his impressive linedrive rate of 22.9%. As a whole his approach is a lot more aggressive right now as he also has 14 stolen-bases already this year with 16 being the most he’s ever had in a single season (55 games).
Acuña joins Kolby Allard, and Mike Soroka as players born in 1997 playing in AA. Why don’t you think about that for a while today.
