A disastrous 3rd inning was the difference on Tuesday night as the Braves fell to the Angels by a score of 9-3.
The game started out innocently enough. Matt Kemp hit a two-run homer to give the Braves an early lead in the 3rd inning. And then things got ugly. Let's recap the bottom of the 3rd inning with Bartolo Colon on the mound:

Three-run HR

And just like that it was 9-2. Only two of the nine runs Bartolo gave up were earned. It was an absolutely brutal inning to watch.
That was about it for the night. The bullpen worked 5+ strong innings in relief. Tyler Flowers smacked his third homer of the season. And the Braves are now 22-28 through 50 games.
The Braves will look to win the series on Wednesday night at 10:10 pm ET as Jaime Garcia takes the mound.
