Sean Rodriguez undergoes shoulder surgery
The Braves announced that Sean Rodriguez underwent shoulder surgery on Tuesday to repair a completely torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder. The operation was performed by famed orthopedist Dr. James Andrews. While the team didn’t release a timetable for Rodriguez’s return, the injury is expected to keep him out for the entire 2017 season.

Kemp arrives to camp in great shape
Matt Kemp showed up to Braves spring training early and approximately 15 pounds lighter according to a report by MLB.com’s Mark Bowman. Kemp appears to be in a good place and is happy to be in Atlanta and that has Braves manager Brian Snitker looking for a big year.
"He looks great," Braves manager Brian Snitker said. "When I saw him, I said, 'You look like you did when you played center field for the Dodgers. He's in great shape."
Colon eager to start new season with Braves
Bartolo Colon brings experience and an exuberant love of the game that is sure to rub off on his teammates to Atlanta. He also comes to Atlanta chasing a record as he is just 12 wins behind Dennis Martinez for the most wins ever by a Latin American player.
"I'm very happy to be with the Braves," Colon said through an interpreter. "[Martinez's record] is really important to me, but my primary focus is to stay healthy and then we'll see where it goes from there."
Dave Stewart: “My gut the whole time said I shouldn’t move Dansby Swanson.”
Dave Stewart was a guest on MLB Network Radio and reflected on his time as Diamondbacks GM. One of the things that came out of the interview was his regret for having traded Dansby Swanson despite knowing he shouldn’t.

Alex Reyes to undergo Tommy John surgery
The Cardinals took a hit on Wednesday when it was announced that Alex Reyes would indeed undergo Tommy John surgery as was initially feared.
Alex Reyes, after review, will have a Tommy John surgery, #cardinals affirm. Paletta will do surgery here in Jupiter.
