Braves come out on top of Keith Law’s farm system rankings

Back-to-back farm champs!

Ozzie Albies

Keith Law released his top 10 farm systems in baseball and for the second year in a row the Atlanta Braves top the list.

Atlanta has been hoarding prospects, especially pitching prospects, for two years now, and the result is a system that is primed to produce good young players just as the team moves into its new stadium.

The full list, of course, is behind a pay wall but for those of us that enjoy prospect rankings and chats it’s totally worth it.

The absurd depth of pitching prospects was highlighted by Keith by noting that despite being the No. 3 pick in last years draft, Ian Anderson still can not crack the top 6 prospects for the organization.

Keith also highlights about the increasing abundance of position prospects and specifically talks about Kevin Maitan, along with noting the clubs depth in up-the-middle prospects.

Also of note he speaks about GM Coppolella’s willingness to deal for high ceiling prospects who may have lost their shine with their previous organizations (Jackson, Lindgren, etc). Definitely worth checking this piece out if you want to hype yourself up about the future of the organization.
