The Braves find their selves 2.5 games back from the Nats in the NL East. If you would've asked any fan, scout, and/or analyst in Major league baseball they wouldn't believe it. But believe it folks, the braves are legit in 2015. Since the Juan Uribe Trade, the Braves are 4-2 and getting hotter by each day. Braves fans need to take a step back and realize what's happening in 2015 and stop predicting the future. John Hart knew what he was doing and setting us up for a chance this year with the trades for Cameron Maybin, Juan Uribe, and even Jace Peterson. Also the free agent signings of Johnny Gomes and AJ Pierzynski have not only brunt a Veteran leadership but has solid production with the injury of Kelly Johnson and the struggling Christian Bethancourt. But we all realize the struggles of the braves in 2015 and that's their bullpen
The Atlanta braves bullpen has the worst ERA in Baseball and is showing no signs of getting better. Jim Johnson and Jason Grilli have been the only main contributors to this struggling bullpen. Yes the loss of Craig Kimbrel and Jordan Walden have been a tuff loss but that is still no excuse for the struggling pen. The call up of Cody Martin will certainly help, but will not be enough to make a playoff run
As we look what is in front of us in the NL East, a wildcard spot will be tough to gain. But A hot Nats team and a "soon to choke" Mets team wont be hard to catch if we play solid baseball through the year (and maybe a trade for some bullpen help before the deadline). I'm not saying a playoff berth is going to happen, I"m just saying don't count the bravos out in 2015.
