Connor Lien, LF: 1-4, 1 R, 2 K
A 3-run 3rd inning gave the Javelinas an early lead that they held on to until the top of the 8th inning. After Donnie Hart allowed a run in the 7th, Mauricio Cabrera came in and gave up a 2-out, 2-run home run to Wilson Contreras to let the Solar Sox tie it. Tyler O'Neill was the eventual hero of this one with his walk off 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. It was a fairly short day for Braves prospects with Mauricio Cabrera having the only really notable stat line. His control wasn't as much a problem today (16 pitches-11 strikes), but he was unable to miss bats in his inning of work. He didn't strike out a single batter and gave up a home run and 2 hard hit outs. He was still a victim of a bit of bad luck, as the first hit of the inning was an infield single on a grounder to the second baseman. He then had to face Wilson Contreras, who was just on fire all day with 3 extra base hits. Connor Lien led off for the Javelinas in this one and scored the final run of that 3rd inning after a single off of Athletics prospect Sean Manaea. His first at bat was a hard ground out to Manaea before he was struck out to lead off the 5th and 8th innings. The Javelinas next play tonight, visiting the Solar Sox. That game is scheduled for 12:35pm MST/2:35 EST with Lucas Sims scheduled to make his second start.
