Game Thread 9/7: Braves At Marlins

It's the first Sunday in September! You've been waiting a long time for this, but it's finally here: The Braves and the Marlins are playing their final game of the season against each other! Happy baseball! But seriously, the Braves are currently tied for the 2nd Wild Card spot and this is not only the rubber match for this series, but the rubber match for the season series as well, which is currently tied 9-9. Even if there's plenty of other stuff going on in the sporting world, this game is still worth keeping an eye on.

In order to permanently break that series tie for 2014, the Braves are hoping that Julio Teheran can once again exhibit control over the Marlins. Meanwhile, the mystery behind "Who Will Be The Miami Marlins' Starting Pitcher On Sunday Afternoon?" has been solved, and it'll be Brad Hand. Hand hasn't had the best season so far (and his ERA of 4.76 and his FIP of 4.66 reflects that), and he's gotten hit hard in 4 of his last 5 previous starts. Hopefully the Braves can keep that trend going.

Here are the lineups and further data on Hand. Phil Gosselin is staying in the lineup, but he'll be relieving Tommy La Stella at 2nd Base, and Chris Johnson is back in the lineup at 3rd Base. Also, Emilio Bonifacio will be handling defensive duties in Center Field in lieu of B.J. Upton.
