Jose Martinez and Kevin Ahrens each notched multi-hit games in the loss, while Emerson Landoni and Tyler Tewell each chipped in with a double. Blair Walters was shaky in his start, giving up 8 baserunners across 6 innings, but was hurt by an error in the first from Ahrens. Brady Feigl also had a rough go of it in relief, giving up two runs in what would prove to be the difference in the game. Lynchburg will try to even the series tonight at 7 pm.

Danville was one-hit last night in their playoff opener by the JC-Cards ans starting pitcher Juan Perez. Perez stuck out 10 D-Braves in 6 innings, walked three, and gave up the lone Danville hit to (who else?) Ozhaino Albies. Oriel L Caicedo tossed a quality start of his own, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings of work, but unfortunately it would not be enough for Danville. The D-Braves will look to get into the win column tonight at 7 pm, with Andrew Waszak toeing the rubber.
