There’s no one to platoon Heyward with because we don’t have anyone who has better platoon splits against lefties than he does.
No.
He won’t be heavily used in the outfield because he’s primary back-up at so many other positions. If we wanted to sub in Hinske at some point, we’d burn Omar and have no back-up at SS.

Exactly, its not what I expect out of a 20 year old rookie. Its what I expect out of our team and our lineup. Our two hole hitter shouldnt strike out like 30 plus percent of the time.
We have traded away great players for less than nothing and let Texierra walk away, and much much more so pray that Hayward is sent from God and that his energy can ignite the veterans and cause the younger players to hustle more and play winning baseball...
99% of you wanted him moved up in the lineup
But now that he’s struggling it’s BC fault!
His approach seems to have changed, swinging at more bad pitches….not going the other way. In April he was hitting like a 2 hole hitter. For the past month or so, he has not.
