Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Soars to Highest Point Ever
The Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Poll soared to new heights this week. The poll had reached a new high of 77% confidence two weeks ago, the last time it was taken, but this week it jumped up three points to a new high of 80% confidence.
That confidence is no doubt in response to the good springs that so many Braves players are having, especially the rookie phenom Jason Heyward. His spring performance has stirred an excitement and enthusiasm in Braves fans that has not been seen in some time.
Hopefully the team will continue to give us reason to increase our confidence in them as the spring continues and the season begins. Two weeks from today is the season opener against the Cubs.

first time caller, long time listener...
As a life long braves fan, 1984-present, my confidence isn’t as high as say the 14 straight D-ships. I will say it is as high as it has been in the past few years. I voted 8. I think this a very important year for us.
I am at a 9.5 right now. The depth of the bench, bullpen and starting pitchers is the strongest I’ve seen in a long time. There are so many players battling for the final roster spots, that we will definitely have some players at AAA ready to fill in, if needed. Glaus is no real surprise. His health was the only issue. Many a thirdbaseman has made a smooth transition to first. If Heyward puts up just reasonable numbers for a rookie, say .270, 18 HR, 80 RBI, we’ve vastly improved our RF position. Cabrera and Hinske will be much stronger bench players than Norton was. Conrad/Thurston give us a great #25, with the other apparently ready as well, honing his skills at Gwinnett.
Gondee,
Can you give us the numbers from last year at this time? I believe you started polling about a year ago, right?
According to my Talking Chop Annual, the Preseason Poll had us as 76%.
